Agreed 100%. I have an Abarth for this very reason. I do all sorts of bad things with that car, make it backfire all the time, and yet, I am rarely moving past a point of getting more than a 1-2 point ticket.

I know this headline isn’t going to win me any friends, and I’m even a little surprised I’m writing this, but I’ve…
I never expected us to write something more wrong then Freddy’s “Aston made an ugly car” rant.
First off, NP. Pretty decent car for not allot of cash.
Kind of like a boat IMO: I don’t want to *own* one that badly, but I would definitely encourage a buddy to take on this poor financial decision so we could go have some fun at the beach.
As a 4c owner who actually daily drives it, and has done so for more than a year, I suggest comments like
Whoa, whoa, whoa there, Wolfman Jack. You’re comparing apples and orange juice there. Sure there’s lots of things that cost a similar asking—things like a totally unnecessary Apple Watch or a knee surgery—but this is a very specific way to spend those hard earned dollars.
NP solely for survivor and neatness factor. Reality of it is it’s not worth this much with out any intrinsic value of rareness though. But given the cash availability I would pay for this to be at home in my garage just for something different and to make sure it survives.
It’s not contrarian, it’s a counterpoint to (what I think was) a bad point. Cars were designed to be driven and enjoyed - some people leave them in garages untouched, others drive the shit out of them. This is on the latter end of the spectrum.
We’ve got one that says “get you head out of your apps”
You have the right to have your own opinion and I respect that. But you’re wrong.
FUCK YES.
A running, driving, and fairly clean car for under $2K is a good deal no matter what it is. If you get a year or two out of it without any major repairs then you’ve done okay.
Only offering the cars in Europe puts them in the advantageous position of having halo cars that everyone can lust after, without the bother of actually having to manufacture them.
High performance luxury cars sell in far greater numbers in America than they do in Europe — a function of gas prices, taxes, insurance, city size, etc.
