Interestingly enough for an entire summer I drove past this car nearly every day. It was sitting a lawn in Saco, Maine with a for sale sign on the window. This would have been sometime in the mid to late aughts, and if I recollect correctly they wanted something like $15,000 for it.

Best guess is that it’s a preproduction car specifically built for PR and press rides. It won’t be legal to register and will end up in a crusher, much like this car that an Acura rep was driving around my area (more than) a few years back:

I thought these were absolutely hideous until I saw one in person. I mean it’s not pretty by any stretch of the imagination, but it is kind of brutally handsome. For some reason though photos of it make it look much worse proportioned than it actually is.

The back seats in the Alfa are reasonably usable, though I can’t speak with any authority to the car seat question.
