I can’t speak for all of Gen X, but I recall most music purchases being an agonizing decision of do I want to listen to it at home (LP or CD), or in the car (cassette). There were definitely some music I bought specifically for in the car, but mostly I made mix tapes.

A saw the trailer for this last night and it took me a bit to realize it was for a TV show, not a video game. I’d be very interested in playing this game, but the show looks incredibly dumb.

What would it take to get me into a Mitsubishi? If they made a RWD electric hatchback with around 300hp and 200-300 miles of range that handles as well as my 228i M-Sport for $35,000 or less I’d buy right now. Actually if anyone did that...

Hot Take Hogan strikes again.

I’m 98% sure this is a Nissan. I think Altima, but it could be a Maxima—it’s definitely from that period in the mid to late aughts where all of Niassan’s sedans looked roughly alike except for their size.

I had Ford SUV for a rental for a while. It had adaptive cruise control and lane keeping. The adaptive cruise control was great, but I couldn’t figure out how to use it without lane assist also turning on, and the lane assist is freaking awful. Way too fussy, and often not even correct—for example if you are driving

Exactly.

This is on the high side of what these are going for right now, by about 9k-10k—so I guess it comes down to what the “one of one” paint job is worth to you. Personally I’d save the extra dough. CP, but only just

No.

Living one state over where we take the 1st Amendment as applies to vanity plates absurdly serious (cf. my profile pic*) I find this to be the pettiest of petty bullshit.

It doesn’t bother me at all that they are asking $150,000 for this abomination. I do, however, find it somewhat irksome that some brain dead jackass will probably buy it.

Someone posted the DMC-12, and that’s probably correct (yes it’s a shit car-but look at it!) But I’d like to humbly suggest a partly American car that seems to be broadly liked:

So, is it fake?”

Whenever there’s talk of rare cars there’s always that guy (there actually seem to be several in this discussion) who will say something really stupid like “there were only 34 ever made in crap brown, with a vomit yellow leather interior, a manual transmission, with the winter sports package” about an otherwise mid to

I had a 500 Abarth tuned to roughly 200hp 250lb/ft. Thing was an absolute riot. Certainly fun enough to not gaf about the dealers (though, honestly mine were very easy to deal with). Though it did chew through front tires at an alarming rate.

It’s not a good value. It’s not a good looking car. It is, however, priced towards low end of market value for a low mileage ‘09 GTR. So, NP, I guess?

Spoiler alert:

I decided to go ahead and have fun with the stereotype:
