Jeez, Graverobber you are going to give me whiplash with these sudden CP/NP swings. This car is an obvious NP. All of the nattering nabobs of negativity blathering on about reliability are missing the point. Drive it until it dies, and then drop a 1.8T or a VR6 into it and make a fun hoonmobile. Or if you are really…
I’ve been suckered into enough of these weird photoshop things to know better by now (probably shouldn’t read them half-lit and ready for bed), but I was expecting to see some of the half assed stupid shit people actually do cars such as slapping an “M” badge on a stanced E46 wagon and asking $32500 for it.
If the market value is “legitimately [that] high” then the car is, in fact, “worth it” as it is placed at the correct market value. I wouldn’t buy it. You wouldn’t buy it. Clearly 78% of Jalops wouldn’t buy it, but if I were selling it I could feel reasonably confident that I could sell it at that price point. Hence,…
And damn it, I don’t want to be “that guy”, but what does it take to get out of the gray around here?
Damn, I thought was a Star Wars geek. The larger ships look like a Corellian interpretation is the EF76. Beyond that though I have no idea. The surface craft are odd things, but I suspect they are first response vehicles. Durable/heavily armoured, probably have a one or two shot heavy weapon, cheap and expendable, and…
The correct answer is FIAT 500 Abarth. For around 15k it will be easy to find a low mileage and unmodded example from the previous model year with plenty of warranty left on the clock. Up until 2015 it ONLY came with a stick, and the newer ones with sticks are plentiful. They are not particularly fast, but they do go…
There hasn’t been a 1990 TSi this well sorted and maintained since about 1993. As a time capsule this thing is amazing. This car has no business being this nice and almost completely unmolested. Which is kind of the problem. I don’t think this price is necessarily wrong, but what do you do with it? It’s not so low…
Neutral: Let’s say you’re the head of a major carmaker (congrats!) would you be doubling down on EV development now, or staying true to what works with traditional crossovers?
Starting Monday with Lancia Porn? Aren’t you setting the bar kind of high for the rest of the week?
A person in my home town has a prewar Lagonda in fair condition. I used to see it parked on the street all the time. Other than to move it from the carriage house to the street I don’t think it was ever really driven.
Three arrested? Were their last names Sherman?
Given the mileage and overall condition this price is market correct. The Qvale is better looking in person (not by a large margin though), and a reasonably decent car. NP
This is absolutely stunning. It certainly beats all grey, or all black, or all brown, etc. and it is somewhat evocative of the classic Gulf colors. Hopefully the exterior isn’t some bland everycar color.
Sex with Jello you say? That sounds fundamentally more exciting than driving anything with an Iron Duke and 3 speed slusher. I was all ready to NP this thing until read the drive train description.
Just a few of the interesting things I’ve seen around in the last year.
I love Stereolab.
Just commenting on what I have seen so far:
He should buy a 2013 FIAT 500 Abarth. It sounds like an Italian sports car, but isn’t fast enough to get into any real trouble. It only comes in a stick, so he’ll have to learn how to row his own like any self respecting car enthusiast should. It’s cute enough that girls will want to talk to him about it, and angry…
I like this car, and I really want to give it a NP, but that interior is all kinds of sketchy. CP
