Why would somebody do aftermarket mods on a 1 out of 500 car?

wrote my comment, then realized I said exactly what you did. A car that only had 500 copies made needs to be kept stock. Who rices a big luxury boat like this out anyways?

I was waffling between NP and CP, but the red racing seat pushed the needle of my douche-O-meter juuuuusssst over the line. Maybe if the yellowhammer selling it (or whoever) had left it alone, it'd be worth it just for the exclusivity. Not now, though—the gauges and the steering wheel sprinkle way too much Pep Boys

Nice Price AND Crack Pipe!

With that said, some of the richest people i've ever met were driving 14-year-old E-Class wagons with months of brake dust because they just don't give a fuck what anyone thinks of them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Carmax has already projected record losses for 2018. Corportate restructuring is imminent.

You have to input that data into the dyno computer when you're setting it up. Fundamentally all a dyno measures is the energy input into the rollers from the car. It does that by measuring the acceleration of the roller. From there it's up to you (in practice the dyno software) to isolate the engine from the

on a dyno, rpm is measured, and final gear ratio is calculated to remove that effect. The rotational inertia of the drum is fixed and known, so you can calculate delivered torque put to the from the wheels by the acceleration rate of the drum and the rpm of the engine. The rest is math, correcting for atmosphere

I think you nailed it with the "VERY small truck."

Not so much a car, but the Mercedes Benz 500I, AKA the 1,000 horsepower Ilmor engine that dominated the 1994 Indy 500. The secrecy was insane. A backdoor handshake deal between Roger Penske and the head of Mercedes Benz after they meet to talk about (of all things) putting Detroit Diesel engines into Mercedes cars.

I want to know everything about this

I'm sorry, but I disagree completely. Introducing diesel and hybrid power to the top level of endurance racing and blowing away the competition with these unproven (in endurance racing) technologies was highly risky, super ballsy and absolutely groundbreaking. Nobody in any racing series has pushed the technology

James Garner and his Olds 442 Baja 1000 entry.

Its not a race car, but calling a pass play from the one yard line in the final minutes of the Super Bowl instead of handing the ball off to a guy nicknamed "Beast Mode" is a pretty big gamble.

Audi WEC. How has this not been nominated?

The Tyrell P34

I'm pretty sure there were cameras good enough to take something higher quality than this, they just didn't use them. While I was looking (and failing) to find a good quality formation shot the with the SR-71, I did stumble across this, which is pretty amazing:

Pictures of the SR.-71 made me hope that there was a secret, unacknowledged replacement to the Blackbird. But I ust finished reading "Skunk Works" by Ben Rich and I think that's not the case.
