Ugh, I totally agree. I'm sure there are a rare few teen girls who are precocious and mature for their years, but the majority of teen girls are not manipulative masterminds.

Very good points. I wish I'd known these things when I was in my twenties. I thought of myself as "the cool girlfriend" who wasn't going to nag about marriage or commitments... Then realized too late that I should have claimed what was sort of mine... I was so busy trying to be "cool" that I didn't think about my own

In my senior year of high school (‘99), because of this boy I liked, i tried to like the Guano Apes. Now I don’t remember any of their songs.

Exactly!

Charlotte, you took the words outta my mouth. While I didn't really get into beer, football, etc, I was definitely all about NOT being that naggy, insecure, demanding girlfriend who wanted to talk about feelings all the time. The big thing I finally ended up realizing was that I needed a little more romance and

HAHAA!

Exactly! Jenny was damaged and messed up and didn't MEAN to hurt Forrest...she was just running from her demons!

Maybe she had an abortion or two? They could've used that to talk about Roe v Wade...

I was just gonna say this! There was no one at the address, that's why the letters came back, not that she sent them back.

No you are absolutely right!

Absolutely agree that at least children should have health insurance!

I want to know more about the insurance part of this as well. Being in Mississippi, they probably don't get a medicare expansion. As Carie below said, some states are not implementing it or not that much.

Exactly, comprehensive health coverage at least for children!

Absolutely agree! Does anyone here know if Mississippi medicaid covers low-income children? It seems like her family would qualify, but again, I don't know what Mississippi's medicaid requirements are...

No kidding. I was actually thinking I might try Revolution, but hearing about their rape obsession and now the gun stuff...guess I'll skip that one! At least WD doesn't seem to have an agenda, like they have SOME artistic integrity haha!

What, seriously??? Now THAT is disturbing. How can people be so...ugh.

Never watched Revolution, but if they overuse rape in their storylines, that is way worse. Walking Dead did it in a way that was disturbing, and they don't bring up rape often. Maybe why that's also why it was so powerful.

Well said

While I can see what you're saying, I think WD handled the scene well. Don't forget, right before that poor Glenn gets the s%^t beat out of him, brutally, so I think the emphasis is on how evil the Gov and his henchmen are, not "ooh look at this rape it's sexy." It is showing how helpless Glenn and Maggie are in the

Well said. Oh look, another person who doesn't understand the definition of feminist replied too.
