This is awesome that Link is a character that anyone can project themselves into. I’m a cisgender straight white dude and Link reads as a classic sword and sorcery, saves the princess, fucks up the bad guy sort of character to me. And that’s the kind of protagonist that appeals to me (boring i know).

I hated the weapon breaking as well at first but I learned to really like it later on. I DO wish that there were more regenerating items. the Hylian shield should regen after breaking like the mastersword.

its not petty or vindictive. It is applying consequences to actions. If you steal someone’s shit and leak it, then they can pursue you with legal action. If you fuck up a leaker’s life horribly, then the next leaker might take a second or two to consider if they want to steal shit for clout.
