I'm so sick of people saying how Android, webOS, and so many other devices are knockoffs of the iPhone/iOS. Seems to me the iPhone was a knockoff of the old PalmOS devices. All Apple did was take Palm's old app icon screen and invert the background from white to black. Some innovation there, Apple!

There has been talk of them licensing webOS to other manufacturers, such as HTC or Samsung... perhaps they simply want other companies to make the hardware, and just provide the OS, like Google does with Android.
