Well in that case we agree partially; I do not know if he is racist or not so I would not accuse him of that. I am just saying he may have unintentionally made racist remarks. It would not necessarily make him a racist though. It's a fine line imo.

Does he make fun of other privileged folk or minorities?

Well that is a slippery slope mentality to hold. Imagine having kids or younger family members one day. One of them is bullied constantly and endlessly about something about themselves. It makes them feel terrible. They come to you and you tell them to get over it because it speaks poorly of their character. They

Well I made one comment to you and did not have long worded replies throughout an entire thread. That's what I meant by saying you seem keen.
My point was not that he's racist but that he may have made a racist remark unintentionally. Two can be mutually exclusive or inclusive. I meant it in the former rather than

awww shucks *oh stop it you*

I think men who are condemning these actions need to see themselves out, sit down shut up and listen. Until you're a woman who ever has to make that kind of decision your shaming is moot. Get off your self righteous soap boxes. It's like shaming people for actions they chose due to difficult circumstances you'll never

Pretty sure she was being sarcastic with that remark although sarcasm can be hard for some to gauge via text.

When you say "he knew you weren't intelligent enough to get it" do tell who are you referring to exactly.

Consider reading this to broaden your perspective then (close the pop up for a prescription to access the article):

You seem very keen on defending the intent of one's words and not acknowledging the effect or impact of those words. One can be unintentionally racist believe it or not.

That and told you're too PC or overly sensitive. And I agree just because one does not find low brow comedy funny that reinforces the status quo funny does not mean they find nothing funny. Such an absolutist statement is absurd.

People just don't like having their white privilege called out here and other white

So your theory is when POC get outraged by stereotypical or racist remarks, comedy, events, etc. it is because they have a big ego? I think to understand this perspective and empathize with something you may never experience you should read Darla's comments on this thread.

Should they not? I mean just to explain the concept to other white people that aren't aware of or listening to what it is?

I suppose I prefer to err on the side of someone being a bigot unless they explicitly state they are attempting satire. It happens so frequently, people hiding behind "humour" or "satire", to get away with making prejudicial remarks in public/on a public platform. It's a fine line. It becomes even more problematic

Actually if someone has not established that kind of persona to be satirical it is very difficult to gauge things like satire or sarcasm via text unless someone explicitly states so. Certain topics to be successfully satirical about one has to word it very carefully or risk getting the backlash she is deservedly

You are giving her the benefit of the doubt that she was being satirical. Interesting. I bet if she was trying to be satirical about autism (or the Autistics as it bothers you) you would not be giving her the benefit of the doubt but calling her out on it and trying to educate her. Empathy you should try it sometime.

What's aggravating is so many people are willing to give her a pass and deny she did it that maybe she was hacked or using some form of enlightened satire. When really she's a racist ignorant fool. This is white privilege folks even when you f*ck up you still get a pass or the benefit of the doubt. -_-

Oh that's disgusting. I don't care if it was my friend it is our collective responsibility to protect the vulnerable children. I'd report him.

Someone's well informed/written advice:

Oh dear hopefully you didn't injure yourselves. I know how you feel in a sense living in a building I got to go all the way down with my laundry when I use the machines (laundry by hand in university? aint nobody got time fo dat! :P )
