According to the latest Media Create, 1,798,066 PS4s have been sold in Japan. Interestingly, the Wii U sold more last week than the PS4 but that is almost entirely due to the 1-2 punch of Mario Maker and Splatoon. Once Mario Maker hype dies down, it will fall back to slightly behind the PS4.
