Actually there are compound throttled gas engines. Mr. Peepers compound 4g63t dsm ran just fine. V12 like torque, something north of 500 ftlbs at low rpm.
Who says it can’t be a compound turbo, 30psi nearly off idle, 60psi up top.
Although not for BMW, he is right about people doing that.
