2800 I spent on the 2000 Insight back in 2015 still going strong. Aluminum never-rusting car. 3 banger manual trans with disabled hybrid battery.

This whole banning ICE thing is really just short-sighted and dumb.
Kinda wish a drag racing game would rubber-band cheat like that to make the races interesting. Each race would have both cars neck and neck unable to tell who will win at the last moment.
In an old episode of Seinfeld, a lady ignores georges rage and politely tells him his car is on fire, and then says all cheery “Merry Christmas” and walks away.
Why has there not been an article about that thing on here? Badass.
Worst is the magical thinking that equalizing on emissions per unit of fuel is beneficial. It is penny-wise and pound-foolish.
The whole point was to prop up our crappy automakers.
In most free markets if you fail to give people something they can just walk around and make it available. Can’t have that.
Then the other issue of gouging different markets. How do I charge a bunch for market A because they are rich, but sell in market B at half the…
The Metros are cool and all but I don’t get it from the point of view that they rust away. I got my Insight because my 97 Metro front control arm rusted basically off.
For those who don’t know the 1st Gen Insight is basically a Geo Metro on steroids.
Steel vs Aluminum,
2300lbs vs 1850lbs
1.0 3 making 55hp, 1.0 3 making…
Sad because they are all still the same speed. Just makes it even more boy-racer-ish.
There are no “supercharger” or “turbocharger” kits that would make me more interested in playing with a Tesla. But grandma has the same setup as the boy racer models. Just makes you feel stupid to rice one out.
Seems like 2 days ago the stock was 10 bux and hot nothing. Now it’s 24 and they are coming for my wallet?
Wow 1000lbs is up there. I can get my car down to 1500lbs rather easily and that’s with 4 wheels, windows, a passenger seat, airbags, and a bunch of other things like a radio and speakers.
I’d rather have 4 wheels and a harness if doing that. Easier to swap a turbo 4 in the chassis and beat that power to weight ratio.…
Rebadging, because my MK4 Jetta actually looks like the rear of a Saturn Ion, so I got bored and ripped ION bading off a Saturn at the junk yard and glued magnets to them.
Now anytime I want I can become a Saturn, like if I need to park up front a GM plants in the American-only spots.
It’s like two things are merged which really just need to be split.
1. Make a race for dick-waving, all technicalities, bs, re-ordering after races are over, all that CRAP.
I’ve long since stopped using the oil filter tool and resorted back to a simple rubber strap wrench.
Thats cool they drove it home for him. I remember as a child Full House being all the rage and often I’d go around the neighborhood knocking on doors to find kids to play and they’d tell me they wanted to stay home to catch Full House instead. I always would try to talk them out of it and they’d never budge.
Don’t worry, today we do similar stupid things.
These are almost back in style. I feel weird for saying it’s kinda cool and I would rock one as a spare fun car.
Bring back the damn cars we actually wanted.
I rock 165's on 14's in the winter.
I’m scared of open-deck engine designs.
