Most detuned diesels are all about fuel economy. They let you floor it but the engine doesn’t add as much fuel as the higher output tunes which effectively is the same thing as if the pedal had a block underneath it preventing it from going down all the way.
Purchasing before publicly announcing the administrations big push into EV is actually still illegal.

This 100%! I learned from owning two Evolutions just how crazy a car can go from it’s softer roots.
Worse, they think putting it in a Corolla with more weight and a worse chassis would make Americans happy.
No Toyota just needs to sell us the damn Yaris GR.
