Weird, I came from wrenching on Mustangs amongst other American cars and grew tired of breaking bolts and plastic pieces every time I touched it and fell in love with working on VWs. Everything on my MK4 is metal. No more plastic intakes or weird IMRCs to clog because the airflow wasnt designed right.

Silver not copper....

50 cents street fun with my hopped up turbodiesel.... (50mpg, cost of gas for a few runs)

Let me guess...

Nice, someone with a garage that can do real work. Half these photos are empty garages with no tools beyond maybe the oil change after the car wash.

Just buy my 83 Blue on Blue Rabbit 1.6idi diesel....

Yeah they “DSMed” it to death too....

And a diesel another 1100cc smaller can peak well over 440 ftlbs around the same rpm...

It does get even worse... my Aluminum car (1st gen insight) weighs only 1800lbs and is about half the weight of a “Mini”.

Nice Focusten-Martenrarrie.

Longest reply I have ever received. If I was a real jerk I would tl;dr you but I did read it.

Also this magical transmission would be fragile, rob power through lots and lots of heat, require over 40 gears, and would need to be constantly shifting to the point you would be off the pedal with the clutch in or with an auto reducing torque during the shift.

Came to make sure there was a post about how pointless torque is because magical transmissions with infinite gears can always multiply a bike engine that makes 200hp at 12,000rpm to pull better than a turbo diesel making 200hp at 1200rpm...

Now playing

1st Gen Insight, lightest car around at 1850lb stock. Easy to get down to 1500lbs.

So interior focused towards young buyers but the ride and visceral character is tuned for older people who dont really want a sports car or know how to drive? Automatic only when young people want a manual? Yet priced in the middle?

I’m more into diesel cars...

Hondas are gutless because of massive cylinder head ports that have no velocity.

True, I am referring to 250 and up. If the 1500 was against a tuned 2500 the situation flips, the diesel is extremely quick with just a tune.

Diesel is why....

In another perspective, imagine that sweet feeling of creaming the ball perfectly when pitched in baseball..
