I’ll take the Evo parked in the lot behind it. More capable around a track and holds it’s value much better.

Honestly they just feel attacked because Tesla drivers passively attack them by advocating for banning the vehicles they love.
That should be simple when you turn the car on it does the headlamp test. if that light does not illuminate then it’s burnt out
Yep that one is golden. I also prefer the evesdropping method where a conversation is staged near the desk/cube/office of the decision maker where we simply say in plain english that the only solution is XYZ because we are enthusiasts with friends in the target demographic who prefer it.
These exact reasons are also why I enjoy driving turbo diesels. They may not have as much power as other cars but they lay down some impressive torque right off idle and are impressively quick (not fast) once modded.
Meh we were there in roughly 2006 if you ask me. Well before we lost manual control of hvac and the stereo.
So macho avoiding that V6....
My Evo IX had by far the lightest hood of any vehicle I have had. Oddly it too had no struts for a rather expensive car for its time. I wonder if there is any merit to that.
Overbore, shortened stroke, ultra high compression, big valves, cam with lots of lift and early opening to bleed compression at low revs. Isolated exhaust merged so the other bank scavenges the first. Wide canister with the cat for pressure differences... Likely a very strong spark via some kind of CDI system, maybe…
Go to Meijer and get one of those 14 dollar 12v heaters in the automotive section.
Reminds me of those anti-modding people who say “If the engineers who built the car put that in there it must be best”.
You aren’t solving every problem at the same time so you can’t solve one problem.
Don’t forget also that a lot of rich kids are 100% beholden to their parents demands and judgements. It must suck growing up to know that you’ll never make as much without their help.
Amen, complaints of turbo lag essentially boil down to skipping a power adder because you have to wait for it. These turkeys would complain about nitrous too I am sure.

Awesome Jack Black reference. QoTD
Im not talking about the engine block casting process (whoosh?). I am talking about cheap cast pistons and rods compared to forged pistons and rods.
I was with you until the part about it being easy to work on. They are the most locked down DRM ridden manufacturer and they are famous for being the only one who can retune the ECU, having locked out independent shops. For faurther examples of this bad behavior check out John Deere, who was so bad we passed an…
Comments like these complaining of high strung engines simply remind me of all the people that missed out on the Lancer Evolution back in 2003 with 276hp when a Mustang GT had 260hp from an engine twice as large and then some.
I lol’ed reading that. Build thread? I need something to show the guys at work tomorrow.
