The first Evo here was the VIII not the VII. Happy owner of an 06 Ix and 12 X

No but it was full-time all wheel drive with a turbo and the ram is only 2 wheel drive under most conditions without a turbo.
That is a hilarious gif, where is that from?
Nah, I’ll pass. Prefer something real like the Aluminum suspension with coilovers on the Evolution X that came out in 2008. Far better and real AWD.
We walked a mechanic around the car and he “indicated” that there were metal shavings. Please step out of the car, we’re going to have to search for any metal powdery substances.....
M.C. Chris.....?
I do not own one of these engines, but I can comment on diesel engines in general.
I also wondered what that simulation was as it was rather detailed and they seem to have many many car models.
Yeah with solid rollers and camshaft they can spin an OHV engine to 11,000 when drag racing.
gearing
I always felt as if some small thing between me and friends that they later backed out of resulted in millions, I’d still go give them some cash.
This with a manual trans would be sublime. But I don’t really care about the truck market, since I prefer small cars and absolutely love my 2003 TDI. I also have an 83 1.6IDI diesel that is equally as fun.

I recently made enough torque in my 03 TDI to blow 3 teeth off of 5th gear. I was surprised to find the VW 5speed was designed originally as their 4-speed transmission. They added an extra gear outside the transmission, and installed a plate and cover essentially.
Seems like you don’t know how they work either. They aren’t worried about running lean. Diesels run as lean as they want all the time without getting too hot. It’s actually running rich that is the problem.
In my opinion the whole Domino’s thing is simply an excuse to print their logo in a place they normally would not be legally allowed to place it. I feel this is less about repairing the road and more about breaking down the laws that stop businesses from spray painting their logos all over the road.
Good call on the differential. That is a huge part of a sporty drive for sure.
I owned a veloster turbo. Never again. Worst sports car I ever purchased.
Reminds me of how I took one look at a modern TDI Diesel engine and decided instead to purchase a 2003 TDI with almost no emission controls at all.... then removed the EGR to keep it clean.
As a proud owner of a 2006 Evo IX and 2012 Evo X bought new... I have to say no fun cars means I move on. When I had Evos I would casually try to get others into the brand...
