@t_s: He told me the story of how he got it. Originally it was sold to someone in South Africa. Then somehow it came to the US via California (gray market probably) and then brought to SC where it could be titled and registered. One of the few perks of living in SC.

I've also seen a Dodge Caravan with an OEM 5sp manual tranny.

This. I saw one once in the parking lot of the Pep Boys where I worked. I waited outside for the owner and asked him if it was real.
