Is it me, or doesn’t Barry Keoghan look a lot like Ezra Miller?

I feel like Justice League somehow killed Znyder’s sense of smell. Dawn of the Dead, 300, Watchmen, Sucker Punch, MoS, BvS, all at the least had some pretty stand out visual moments to them and even some stunning set pieces between them. JL falls prey to just being a bombardment of unexciting CGI nonsense and slow…
It’s difficult to make jokes about Biden because he’s not a flaming dumpster wreck as a President and a catastrophic failure as a human being.
Jost slowly getting Che to read off a Blue Lives Matter piece was probably the funniest thing he’s done in these joke swaps.
Cecily’s first over-the-shoulder wine shot was a dead square hit right in Colin’s face, that was amazing.
Nothing makes me consistently laugh harder on this show than the Che/Jost joke swap. Che was especially brutal going after Jost this year to the point where I thought Jost wasn’t going to be able to make it thru that last Black Superman joke. I loved every second of it.
The helicopter pickup scene on the roof (I don’t want to be too specific to avoid spoilers) is another blatant “Aliens did this scene better” direct ripoff.
- I do not want to know what happened to that hairy, haunting naked man model from the heaven sketch. Oh god, it’s right behind me, isn’t it.
The annual joke swap was the duo’s main focus tonight, though, as each (according to them, and I choose to believe) read out jokes written by the other which the reader has never seen.
Chambers (Samantha Win), whose red bandana recalls a certain James Cameron space marine
I’m always interested in the subtext of what zombie movies- even the fun ones- have to say about society, but this one doesn’t say much. I’m also often interested in the mechanizations that heist movies need to pull off a great score, but this one doesn’t have much. The movie’s most interesting ideas imo, were some of…
I could recreate a video of a 747 flying by. Does that mean 747s are debunked? I could use FX to mimic the Northern Lights. Does that mean a video of the Northern Lights must be fake?
Did we read the same review? It articulated why the movie failed in the eyes of the reviewer quite clearly, and quite clearly it was not because it was violent. I interpreted it as the reviewer feeling that it was working hard at being speculative - ie, plausible near nonfiction (‘it’s practically happening today!”) - …
I feel serious side-eye encroaching on my face whenever someone leans on "intellectual" in a recommendation of a "harsh" film.
A.A. Dowd is a contrarian weirdo, so there you go..
This movie is mostly a direct rip off of Aliens and Peninsula. The monsters even move and attack like Aliens. There’s a scene that’s a rip off of Silent Hill, of all places. There are shades of Die Hard, and even Serenity. This is almost completely a rip off of other films. Even the tiger is a rip off of a lesser…
people think man of steel is dreary because tonally and visually it is dreary.
Say what you will about the bombastic rock-video opuses of Zack Snyder, but the man does know how to open a picture, doesn’t he?
“It may be the best introductory montage to a Zack Snyder movie since, well, the Johnny Cash end-of-the-world blur that kicked off the filmmaker’s first feature and last visit to the zombie apocalypse, his Dawn Of The Dead remake.”
Say what one will about Watchmen, but I’ve never seen anyone, including people who hate…
guess which Cranberries hit gets an acoustic rendition?
