“I’ll never make it to natural causes in a car with 650 wheel hp” Possibly the funniest writing I’ve seen on this site. Bravo.

Given their combined age of 67.......
I think Axis of Oversteer nailed it with their tweet:
I don't care if it has a ridiculous name, I don't care that its a hybrid, I just want that noise in my life forever.
Hm. I was totally on board with that widebody till you reminded me what the original looks like. I like that better.
FTEENTHOUSAND!!
Soon to be accompanied by abandoned street car rails as well! Neat!
The RTA96-C (or the newer RTAflex96-C) is a two-stroke, turbocharged diesel engine designed to run at very low speeds. When each cylinder is 1820 liters, you don't really need all that much speed. In fact, the engine runs at a fairly lethargic 22- 102 RPM, though even at those low speeds you're getting 5,608,310 lb-ft…
How am I the first person to post this??
This is the McLaren P1's mirror finish carbon brakes. It was developed by Akebono, and all that shininess is there to dissipate heat more effectively. By comparison, my 1985 Autobianchi A112's front disc/rear drum setup is not that good at dissipating heat when surrounded by mountains.

I need to preface this piece by saying that unfortunately, I did not get to drive the Corvette in the kind of weather you would want to drive a Corvette in. On Friday the D.C area was in the middle of record-breaking, days long, torrential rainfall.
I think the bigger question that no one is asking about this story is: how the hell did this guy hit such a massive piece of metal without seeing it first?
The biggest thing for me as a multi-dog owner is the rear window that rolls down into the tailgate. That gives you good air access in the back without having to have it completely open (as opposed to the hatchback and/or swing-open window on most SUVs/wagons). It's big enough even with the back seat up for a proper…
Let us not forget the majesty of the tractor pull. Why have 1 supercharged pushrod V8s when you could have 5 supercharged v8s?
As a twenty-something male with a perfectly clean driving record, I know that my premiums are higher than the safety of my driving would recommend, so this is admittedly a tempting offer. However, the savings would have to be pretty significant. Maybe something like 30% savings would get my attention.
