A few years back I was rushing to my airport gate when a toddler ran right at me. I held out my had to fend off a collision. From about twenty feet away a mother started screaming at me about not touching her child. I replied, “If you don’t want your child touched in a busy public place, maybe you should keep ahold of

Well, you know, she’s just trying to save the HOA the cost of draining and sanitizing the pool.

I loved my 1990 Integra (red, of course, just like the one in all the ads). But it got broken into too many times. I traded it in on a ‘94 Accord Coupe—less of a target for thieving tuners.

I’ve been living and traveling the past eight years in an ‘07 Express. It’s a wonderful tank. I have yet to be convinced that Transits/Sprinters/ProMasters are as tough and trouble-free.

Yeah, too bad buyers gravitated toward car-like minivans rather than truck-based ones like the Astro/Safari and Aerostar.

Oldsmobile was in the upper level of the GM family, less expensive than Cadillac, less stodgy than Buick, more sober than Pontiac and fancier than Chevrolet. The Cutlass told the world you made a little more money and you were a solid citizen. The styling was also a little better.

The vertical piece at the front of the bumper and the wide-set dual headlights make me think a 1961 Olds Super 88.

I’m guessing one of the 1961 Oldsmobiles.

I can’t identify most SUVs/crossovers from any brand because I have zero interest in any of them. They’re all pretty much interchangeable boxes of bloated blandness. It’s a sad, boring time in automotive history.

Okay, a Lambo transaxle too.

Or, a Lambo tub plus... everything else that isn’t a Lambo.

Man, I’m glad the age of vinyl tops passed. I’m twice as glad the age of vinyl half tops passed.

Clearly, the helicopter could follow the guy, so there was no need for a ground chase. Just ascertain his final destination and apprehend him there.

I don’t know what your particular criteria are for off-road capability and creature comforts, but for the past eight years my standard length, standard height, 3/4 ton, open diff, Express has taken me many places beyond the pavement. And I’m very comfortable, even when I shit in a bucket, inside. Some of my fellow

Well, as someone who has been living in a camper van since before is was a hashtag, I’m happy to see the dilettantes go home.

“...Tesla is willing to make something dramatically different from the norm and take the risk. It’s something I wish more automakers would do.” I think other automakers understand that something like 95% of their market doesn’t want anything dramatically different, which is why the weird cars of the past failed. Ew,

“...but I think the extra $690 or whatever (including new coolant, etc.) is absolutely worth it for the expertise and experience to come up with this simple, straightforward solution.” That’s like the old joke:
A guy has a non-functioning computer. He calls in a repair guy. The tech looks at the computer for a few

Don’t text and drive, kids.

Ah, 5.11 isn’t a designer label?

Yay for push-button automatic transmissions. I learned to drive in a ‘61 Lancer.
