One man’s boring is another man’s relaxing evening of exploring.

Building this road and subway system took literally hours and an unlimited budget. It was catharsis.

GOD I am so with you. I love the game when everything feels like it’s working as intended but all those things are serious room for improvement.

I love many aspects of the game but there are others that irk me that I hope get changed.

You know what I love about the new trailer? DEPTH OF FIELD!! It seems like every science fiction filmmaker has wanted to show off all the lovely detail work they put into the settings and scenery: Everything in focus almost all of the time. I think it probably made it easier on the special effects guys, that their

if anything, it’s more naturalistic. the larger an animal is - and godzilla is enormous- the slower the movement. imagine a skyscraper trying to move. anywise, i think that’s their underlying principle here. they’re treating him as a creature with real weight, for a change, not merely an up-scaled dinosaur.

What, no mention of Avali? The most popular modded Race? Why no love for the anthropomorphic Fluffy Snow Space Raptors? D:

Yeah, I guess they are. I’m about 30 hours in and nowhere close. I’m also not beelining there, so YMMV.

Skipped the spoiler section of the post just to come down here and say that I’m having the best time playing this game and I was just about to sell an Atlas Stone so... thank you!

You what’s more amazing than these bizzare creatures, the prospect that years from now we will still be finding new creatures out there, even better .. That we will NEVER see everything in the game’s universe.

Well I’m early on in the game and there is A LOT of resource gathering. If that’s not your thing it’s hard to recommend the game... especially at $60. You may want to wait for a price drop of some kind if you are still interested in checking it out.

It’s not actually loading. You can sometimes see things that are really there in warp when passing close to a system. It was also confirmed not a loading screen by the dev on stream yesterday.

I’m liking it so far. Very lonely and contemplative. But then when you do find signs of life after so much wandering, it’s like, a big deal. I love the alien encounters, they’re really good thanks to the difficulties in communication and the differences in cultures and all that.

I am really enjoying the randomized creatures cause it has already spawned some very interesting combinations that I should’ve screenshot. The most strange one happened to be a creature with a rabbit head, lion body, and horns.

This was actually a pretty great read. I’m already coming across so many that can’t manage their expectations of things...NMS strikes me as a game that puts you in the driver’s seat - there’s so much you can do that most people will interpret that as having nothing to do at all.

The changes in this patch are so big (especially the story and inventory stuff) that it’s really hard to offer an opinion until we’ve played the post-patch version of the game. In fact, after publishing this post I just went and deleted my save file - I’m gonna wait to play more until the patch is up. We’ll have

Honestly, that ain’t shocking at this point. Just disappointing and gross.

So this is now going to be a spaceballs fan game, right?

Yeah, it was good.

It’s a shame the tie in game was yet another rushed, slapped together licensed shovelware. Ghostbusters is a gold mine for some very fun games in a variety of genres, if it were done right.
