I forget how the program works, but there’s a discount. I think it’s pretty substantial. All the ED programs offer varying levels of discounts from sizable enough to more than offset your trip to just enough to make you feel like it’s a decent idea.

The only risk to the public is people who don’t understand how to invest. This is the polar opposite of buy low, sell high. Who owns the car during this? I don’t know how it is state to state, but in Missouri you still pay personal property tax on a lease. On a car like this, especially brand new, it can be a fair amount of money. If it’s $600-700 all-in, with no PP tax, that’s huge.
