Reproductive abuse. If they knock you up and you have their kid, even if you eventually manage to leave, they’re still able to manipulate the system to control you. Whether it’s withholding child support until you see them, or tying you up in legal bullshit so that you have to stay in their city or just getting you in

IME, it’s much more common to be asked that at a clinic that receives public funding. Staff are specifically trained to ask questions that will weed out whether the patient is experiencing reproductive coercion—and a lot of that is tied into their funding guidelines and requirements. As with a lot of other taboo-ish

I don’t know that most of them are against using birth control, per se - they just want to be in control of it. They put the condom on, or don’t. They pull out, or don’t. They flush her pills, or don’t. And that’s how they enforce/impress upon their partners that they are in control “mentally/physically/emotionally.”

You made me giggle! Mostly, I think it is hilaaaaarious that Kim thinks someone is spoiled/overindulged.

Exactly! It’s mandated by law that my female coworkers and I get 5 days of paid sick leave a month for our “periods.” We spend them drinking cosmos, inventing fake diseases, and plotting ways to better emasculate and subjugate men. And don’t even get me started on pregnancy, the biggest grift of all.

I found this whole quiz to be very confusing

Oh no I’d say she is the more crazy one. Ann Coulter comes across as trolling most of the time. Like she knows she is being ridiculous and divisive, and she thinks it’s fucking hilarious. Ingraham seems to legitimately believe and advocate for everything she says.

Ingraham has been an outspoken opponent of immigration reform and has dedicated herself to getting anti-”amnesty” candidates into office.

I have a ton of 90’s affection left over for Mandy Moore and I support her 100%. Get that green shit girl!

Yeah, it was pretty obviously a joke . . . what with the "AMIRITE?"

It's not on her blog anymore, but here is a reprint:

Sometimes ladies wear what they wear because their bodies and bank accounts don't give them a lot of options to choose from.

Okay, but even if she did it's not nice to say super mean things about how some one looks. Also, if she is struggling with an ED now or again (I don't know) she's not obligated to hash that out in public.

said the woman who wouldn't gain 10lbs at her drs advice to get pregnant.

I hate practical jokes. 'Oh look, I made you look stupid/feel stupid/inconvenienced you/wasted your time, because apparently I forgot you're a grown-ass adult with shit to do and zero time for this nonsense'.

While I think many of this family's beliefs are insane, and I think it is terrible practice to shame and control your children into not having authority over what they do with their own bodies, I have never agreed with the "test drive the car" marriage analogy. Cars are for driving, so of course you would need to

I actually LOVE that. "All right you two crazy kids now shake on it."

"Harris adds that one way to approach the data—and the bias—is to be "deeply, deeply introspective about it.""

It would be interesting to see the reasons why the black students were being suspended and see if they were comparable to that of white kids. Based on what we see in how adults are treated one would imagine that they black kids might even be being punished while being less disruptive or breaking fewer rules.

When did school systems start doling out suspensions (to anyone) so frequently? Is it a zero tolerance thing? When I was in school in the 70's and 80's suspensions were very rare in my perception, and reserved for the most extreme behavior (violent or criminal). Nobody ever got suspended for disrupting class. Perhaps
