I see where you are coming from, but I read it as her switching to speaking to a different subset of people. Like that is something working mothers tell themselves as comfort when they go to work instead of stay home. Because there was a small set of internet backlash towards the mother of the murdered children

He didn't say they are the same, he said they are equal. And he also acknowledged the factor that their misfortune plays in this. It is not the most well crafted apology I have ever seen, but it seemed sincere and a lot better than you'd expect from someone who's been wildly rich and famous since he was 15.

There were definitely rumors, I see it as a legit worry. But of course I am not 100% on his reasons.

Man Ralph Garman is the only thing that makes Kevin and Bean good. Don't listen to them as much now that I take the metro to work and school but seems like I am not missing much.

To be fair about C, it might not be the "childishness" of NSYNC, but the publicity thing. I guess I can understand him wanting it to be all about his marriage and not about his super famous former pop group.

I am worried, but I doubt Romney will do every bad thing that he might possibly want (or his party wants) to do. The process is too long, even if he cared enough to try to bring back archaic laws.

This is a tangent, but related to the whole Mourdock thing. Does anyone have a friend/loved one who is really awesome but has one crazy belief? Like my mom is extremely liberal (though she swears she's a moderate): believes in universal health care, access to contraception (and told me I should wait a while for sex,

Wow people are being pretty strange and kind of mean, it's kind of weirding me out. I enjoyed Anthem and The Fountainhead to a certain extent, but can't say I love her.

Yeah, my family always votes democrat but I was in first grade during the 1996 election and chose Dole over Clinton in our mock election because Dole is a brand of fruit.

In 1996 I was inn first grade I fake voted for Dole over Clinton, even though I knew my family liked Clinton more, just because his name was a brand of fruit.

Particularly because it's pretty much of relic of colonialism right?

No, they are "one in being with the Father".

I agree with him harder than he agrees with himself!

Definitely eye-roll worthy, but I think most countries leaders like to talk about how they're the bee's-fucking-knees, the US just has it down to an art.

Yeah, that was just... your whole presidency is a hypothetical.

Except in the case of Obama, of course, who managed to enact failed economic policy a couple of months before his inauguration.

I suppose in his defense in the interview he was just saying the word while his fear was the writers would make him call a black person the n-word.

I'd wait to hear his definition of extreme. Because to me extreme means getting violent over your beliefs and not willing to have a dialog, which is something I don't believe in, so if he has the same definition I'd agree with him. I don't consider the civil rights movement in the 60's to be extreme. Radical, yes, but

Yeah, I think he was wrong to use the word but using the word in that specific context does not make you a racist, it just makes you someone with poor social skills.

It is pretty easy to make fun of any group. And I think that we all need to have a sense of humor about it to a certain extent. Take your cause seriously, but don't take yourself too seriously.
