What? Re-elected? She's the incumbent, not he.

No because that's where rich people get their abortions and they don't want to offend the rich.
Including people of color in a show set in New York City may or may not be tokenism, but it sure as hell would be way more accurate than not including people of color.
There are a fair few black people on tv written by mostly white people and they rarely get shit for the race element of it.
Perfect.
I totally agree. Being a Latina has definitely colored (no pun intended, hah) my life, but there would not be a whole lot of difference between the way I and a white/black/asian woman of the same socioeconomic background live our day-to-day lives. I have no doubt that a good white writer who maybe did some…
Fortunately for me*, my dad cheated on my mom while I was still a fetus (and the cheating got another woman pregnant), so that relationship did not last very long after my birth and never had to deal with their break up.
Rachel Maddow is a pretty conventionally attractive woman though. Do people really criticize her looks?
Pansexuals aren't considered men or women? Isn't it just a sexual orientation? Like a gay man is still a man and a lesbian woman is still a woman.
Not that this makes me want to vote for him at all, but I believe the exact opposite of the conclusion. He is somewhat moderate. He governed fairly moderate. He is pandering to ultra-conservatives.
I've never been too keen on the whole "it's just a bundle of cells" argument, and I admit that might be partially because of my own personal beliefs (that I in no way wish to impose on anyone). But also because it dodges the real issue which is a person's right to control the use of their own body. You can never win…
No I am not implying that at all. I never said a zygote was more serious than sperm and was not making an anti-abortion argument. Not everything that is life has human rights.
This is a gross story of course and I am disgusted that this guy is not even being tried.
I think you are assuming I am making a pro-life argument. I am not. Eggs and sperm are also living things.
That is beside the point. Cells are living things.
I am sort of operating under the assumption that the Iran picture is accurate and the Afghanistan picture is somewhat accurate because that is what I have learned. But I guess I meant I couldn't say I was sure of it with the same confidence that I could talk about the American pictures.
I use female (and male) very often. Brought up in a military family and that's how men and women are generally referred to in the military.
Neither do tapeworms. Are they not living?
As others have responded, a zygote/embryo/fetus is a life. It is living cells. Scientifically.
Point taken, and I know that we are very capable of regressing, but those last two pictures are very selective from American society. You could have easily made the picture on the left one of the Occupy movement.
