Ah, the french. Partly responsible for the mess in Libya and Syria, now having to help clean the mess.

Their troops should be the first on the ground, should push come to shove.

B-1B scary?. The B-1A, yes but not the B-1B

What you see is pointing the thing towards the port's exit.

Except not. The Iowas would need far more than "a few months" to be reactivated after their final deactivation and after being struck.

Supersonic missiles are the mainstay of the Russians anti-ship capabilities. As complement to the Moskits, they have monsters like the P500, the Kh-22 with it's 1000kg warhead and a Mach 4.6 top speed, the P700 and a 750kg warhead and the supersonic variants of the Klub.

It is. You could scatter all the TELs and CCV's 30km apart from each other and they will still link up and fire...

Russians have been perfecting the Shoot-n-scoot tactics for their missiles for a while.

I've read before that a issile like the Moskit is so massive and flies so fast, that you could completely remove the warhead and the kinetic energy it would transfer to target could be enough to destroy it.

Now playing

Moskits do produce a big explosion. We are talking about 300kg of explosives here, almost as much as an Mk84, except its being hurled at you at Mach 3 by highly explosive mix of fuel

They do have an awful lot of extremely mobile coastal battery of all sorts, though, and the Black Sea is pretty much a bathtub.

For example, what a Bastion-P battery on Sevastopol could cover

They will be selling the Mistrals; the Sevastopol left the docks for trials with it's russian crew a few days ago. The french just are going to wait until things calm down to avoid the backlash.

I thought the jump over the girls was just camera-work and he really didn't fly over them...holy shit...

I bet if you tried to fit it in the F-35B, it would break the plane even more than it already is...

burpbeepburp claimed the MiG-29K is a 5th Generation fighter. The problem with the MiG-29 is that it was meant to be used while being complemented by the massive Radar stations network of the USSR, something most of it's users couldn't even hope to replicate at all.

Now playing

At least you can see when waves strikes. Now, when you realize how much a ship bends and twists in a storm, thats when you really crap your pants

I doubt an F-16 could properly simulate a heavy air superiority fighter like the Su-27. And the Flankers are spreading world wide.

The MiG-29K is not a 5th Generation fighter and seems you are mixing up the MiG-29K with the MiG-35 which has had a troubled development with no clients.

And what fighter would that be?.

Except not. It is a common misconception that the Soviets would have gone with some sort of "human wave" attack of sorts, when it really isn't the case.

The missile has to detonate to fire it's Shaped Charge, which you can't see, in the middle of that fireball.
