Also, and now I’m just harping on this but I have no where to vent this type of frustration as I’ve worn out my wife’s good graces by talking about this show enough, but I think this YouTube comment on an Escape episode sums up the American entertainment id:

That being said, maybe the lack of a canned audience and obvious sitcom beats might lend itself to expanding Sheldon’s character, opening a window of understanding and sympathy.

Haha yeah I remember rewatching the series as an adult and die a Fanny Thomas spit take when I saw Joss Whedons name.

The first four, maybe five, seasons are some of the best writing/acting in sitcom history imo.
