Ok I’ll bite the argument that Box was so focused on Naz and retirement that he didn’t bother to look at anything else but why wouldn’t the defense team?! Why did no one bother to check where Andrea was before she got in his cab? The police had the video! They could have requested it.

Yea that was more about the characters than the actual mystery. That’s why season 2 fell apart. The characters weren’t interesting enough to make up for the flimsy cliche plot.

I can almost accept that “I’m done” attitude if it weren’t for the fact that he had been portrayed as an excellent detective that had doubts Naz was the killer. It would have been easier to swallow had he never shown any doubt that Naz was guilty.
