So why not take it to the natural conclusion then? Let's stop all non political comics, since people watch those. Let's stop all non political fiction, since people read those. Let's just end all entertainment and force people to stare at the horrors of the world 24/7 until all problems are solved. Or until people

I hate Trump and the thought of him winning makes me panic but comedy is supposed to make people LAUGH. If people want political comedy, go watch something like the Daily Show. Why are comedians supposed to be the guardians of liberty now?

And IIRC, that EXACT SAME scenario shows up TWICE in the Bible with different people (presumably one of the many transcription errors in the Bible).

I don't understand why the decision to send Hulk into space is bad. The guy keeps destroying EVERYTHING in angry rampages.
I am also fully for the registration act. People who can level cities must be held accountable.

This case was done completely at random.

Why do you think the ending is disgusting? I would totally support sterilization of one third of Humanity, myself included if only to spare the coming generations the horrors of climate change.

I don't understand why everyone is so fixated on the damn dog. That is probably the stupidest reason for revenge in cinema history. I understand it was a gift from his wife but it was misguided. It was supposed to help him remember how to love? Animals have no such concept, their "affection" is a hollow imitation

So being "quiet" now relegates you to the "you can do much better" boyfriend category? Geez. Might as well give up then.

Sorry, you lost me when you listed the protagonists as criminals robbing an old man. I don't understand how movies like this and Attack The Block get popular by making criminals sound sympathetic. I don't care if they are trying to survive. If I had to steal to survive I'd rather kill myself than harm another human

There was one comic that answered that question in an awesomely succinct fashion:

OK, so I get it. The theme of this season like every other similar sort of media is "PEOPLE are what matters in your life!" But when are we going to get a path out of depression that DOESN'T involve others (except maybe your therapist)? In my case I am utterly alone with a controlling family that treats my issues as

No because an AI can be programmed into promoting the common good or even the preservation of mankind. Any human dictator would be subjected to his own selfish desires.

All those things already happen right now. The question is: would you rather people be murdered by insane racists who might destroy the world or a machine of pure reason? Give me the latter any day.

I admit I haven't watched some of the latest episodes but isn't Greer's goal to essentially create a perfect unbiased ruler? Or has he suddenly become a racist plutocrat?

If he were to make a racist computer no. But one that sought to constantly promote the greater good and ensure the prosperity of mankind, yes.

But that doesn't make any sense. Greer doesn't want power for HIMSELF, he wants a machine to have it.

Am I the only person who WISHES that the world was in control of a computer? I utterly fail to see why Greer is a bad guy. I'd much rather have a computer dictating every action I do, than say Donald Trump. Why does this show portray this as bad?

OK, I have heard this argument being used several times and I just want to hear exactly why it is acceptable. I swear on the graves of all my family members that I am not being facetious or disrespectful. I honestly want to know:

…why? I know there are frustrated people out there, but both those movies had horribly depressing endings. Ratatouille: "You want to be a chef like your famous father? Well FUCK YOU, you're good at being a WAITER. Never mind that it's a job anyone can do, this is what you'll do until you DIE". Same thing for Monster's
