au contraire .. there are those that still seed plenty. And, the fact that it is a (semi) private community means that many of the non-seeding folk are weeded out. But some of us just can't seed and still want to be part of the torrent community, which demonoid allows.

Demonoid does not "require" you to seed. However, certain trackers will not allow you to download full-speed unless you are seeding.
