Not on the PS4 and Xbox One. For some reason, there is 0 difference between a physical copy of a game and a digital copy other than you can resell the physical copy, and the other you can’t. Both take the same amount of time to install, both take up the same amount of HDD space.

This is why the Wii U (and Switch) is much better then the PS4 and Xbox One when it comes to managing memory space. Because for some reason with physical copies on the other two consoles, they are treated like digital copies and have to be downloaded. WTF?
