Yep.  People don’t base their partisan beliefs on facts or evidence.  That becomes more clear every day.

It’s stunning to watch Republicans at all levels push this absurd conspiracy theory.  

They’re desperate and they’re pushing absurd conspiracy theories without a shred of evidence.  I wish I was more confident that this strategy wasn’t going to work for them.

I’m shocked (which is still possible, apparently) at how many Republicans are buying into the absurd conspiracy theory that Democrats and a bunch of foreign intelligence agencies framed the Trump campaign for Russian colluding with the Russians.

GW Bush gets treated like a decent president now and a lot of Republicans seem to be coming around to the view that Nixon shouldn’t have been impeached. I’m pretty sure that lots of people will have revisionist views on Trump after he leaves office.

The actual ending of The Dark Tower was great, though it took me time to realize it.  A lot of the stuff that led up to the ending was...not great.

Interesting point.  I think it’s kind of hard to predict what would happen with the Republican candidate.  Would it be Pence?  Would Republicans get some kind of sympathy because the president died in office?  I’m guessing that a state funeral and concerted effort by conservative media to lionize Trump might bamboozle…

The missing element in this analogy is that other countries have to deal with the US and rely on us to some extent. It’s like the old acquaintance is your boss’s best friend or something.
