If your primary method of charging any plug in car is a (pay) charging station: you are doing it wrong. It’s pretty obvious you have never owned any form of plug in/hybrid. My volt costs right around 2.5 cents per mile to run, and that’s with electric and gas costs combined over the past 55k miles. As others have

At the end of the day no matter how you cut it the blame does fall on the individual. They signed their name, and as (supposedly) a fully functioning adult they should be able to realize what that purchase means in the long term. Auto loans, mortgages, gas prices... people simply don’t seem to learn from their

I drive quite a bit and not having to deal with oil changes on my Volt has been quite the fun experience. I Like working on cars and whatnot, but there’s a point when you just want to relax and not worry about any of it.

I got my 2017 Volt mid 2016, and there are other tangible benefits outside of the money aspect. Even though I drive 70-80 miles a day, I still only have to go to the gas station once every 6 weeks. To go from gassing up twice a week, to 9 times a year? Worth it. I find myself driving smoother and more laid back/chill

When you were a kid and went outside and played... you could sum up that decade that it was usually the same friends, same area, same stuff, over and over. The trio embodies this fun via cars. It’s three grown/old men out playing and having fun. Who cares if its generally the same type of fun, because it’s fun.

Owner of a 2017 here... took delivery mid 2016, been a solid car for the most part. I have almost 60K miles on it, 70% of which are in pure electric mode.

So because he’s too stupid to look down and see the manual release, he now deserves a million dollars? nope

Using your logic, we should also disable airbags, seatbelts, and all the other tech that’s become standard. All so you can “devote 110% attention”.

Call it the “1001" sounds fancy and an excellent starting number for their EV line. Bonus, it’s digital sounding as well as sophisticated.

Driving a 2017 Volt and averaging 120 mpg over the last 40,000 miles (2 years)

Inflation is an ever present force - and 32 years of it applied to the prices of the originals means I bet it starts at $50k and goes up to $80k before we get any “market adjustments”. Sprinkle in supply and demand, nostalgia, it’s going to be anything but cheap.

Your understanding of economics as it relates to the

It’s elon must we are talking about here... lock him in and all he’s going to is push a button on his phone and the car will transform into some kind of Model 3 Iron Man style power armor around his body.

‘yeah we aren’t scared of Tesla at all, but we are still going to spend millions upon millions of dollars lobbying (bribing) the US government so you can’t sell your product to customers.”

Someone with negative equity going out and signing up for more debt? shocker they can’t understand simple math.

Go home car... you’re drunk.

Wow - this guy took the express lane on the internet to show everyone how incredibly stupid he is. You do realize ICE cars don’t work at all if you don’t “remember ahead of time” to fuel them. The fact that your only reference to battery technology revolves around a phone shows just how much of an idiot you are.

Amazing the amount of people on here so happy to see a person act in an unprofessional manner. I don’t give a hoot about politics/twitter but if I was an employer and the guy who did this wanted a job, I’d tell him to take a hike. Your personal issues and lack of professionalism have no place in any sort of business.

My body is ready.

Way to demonstrate your failed understanding of how a growing business works. Look at amazon, they didn’t make “profit” for a long LONG time, because they were constantly re-investing in themselves and other industries. They are now a powerhouse of online sales/service/etc.

It could have 1000ft-lbs of torque, go 500 miles on a charge, and have some self drive/ auto hand job AI... but if I can’t buy one, I don’t care what it can do or how cheap they make it. Car subscription service? Hah! I say.
