I watched Pulp Fiction last weekend for the first time in five years, and it was pretty shocking.

As always, fuck Quentin Tarrentino. It’s amazing how his fanboys are incapable of separating his good films from the giant asshole he is.

Spike Lee gave him a hard time over the N-word in his films. I figured that Tarantino was just throwing the word in there because that’s how his characters speak, but when I watch those movies again . . . . holy shit. What a stupid thing for Tarantino to argue with his star actress over. He should have flown in a well-qualified vintage VW mechanic and his/her crew to have that car checked over and repaired to Thurman’s satisfaction before asking her to drive it at speed.

It shouldn’t be necessary, though. For one, a *case* should have no impact on the *screen* anyway. For another, devices that are this expensive, and built to look this nice, shouldn’t need a case that instantly renders all of that irrelevant. They should be built to survive normal use.

It is *super* subtle. My hubby has only read up to Song of Susannah... I didn’t tell him it was (spoiler?) a sequel because I didn’t want to, uh, give away the ending. He stayed away from all the media- and he walked away thinking it was a terrible adaptation.
