Yes - which is why it’s going to be vital that people get off their butts and VOTE. The last thing we can afford right now is apathy.

Yeah, I’m really not seeing a big downside. In fact, I’d say it’s downright polite of them to identify themselves for the sexist a**holes they are, and better yet, to remove themselves from the gene pool.

They’re in the Navy. They won’t get off so easy. The Navy will charge them with violating the uniform code of military Justice, and they’ll face fines, detention/prison, and probably THEN get fired after all that’s over.

Doesn’t even need to be a HIPPA violation. Conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline is against ucmj too.

Touché. :)

Yes - even at higher end brand dealers this is true. It’s also very hit or miss sometimes. I had a friend that worked at a luxury car dealership, and some months he could do really well, but others he’d just scrape by. He was much happier once he was able to move into a (salaried) management role.

Sure there is, it’s called “Apple Maps.”

Reports from Las Vegas oddsmakers say the chance of Trump making a visit to Puerto Rico are somewhere on par with subzero temperatures in Hell.

What boggles my mind is that he’s been that bad for years and years (Cilizza, to be clear), and yet he still keeps getting rewarded for it, somehow.

That’s because it’s published by Microsoft studios, essentially meaning you can only get it for their platforms. You can get it on PC, but it won’t be on Steam or anything, you’ll have to go to the Windows Store (ugh :p ). Or at least that’s what I’ve seen in the past for the Forza series.

Privilege isn’t an on/off binary sort of thing - it’s a hierarchy, often with many levels. What that exact hierarchy is can be situational, too (for instance, a white woman will probably get much better treatment from cops on average, but a black man may be much more readily accepted in a traditional male dominated

There’s a challenge when it comes to translation in general, in that many concepts don’t have a direct one to one counterpart in the second language. What sets highly skilled translators apart from people who just happen to speak both languages is that ability to come up with things that match the

You would think most people would know better not to post things that clearly show them doing things they’re not supposed to (but you’d be wrong).

Yes. This is a great example though of when real representation, and not just a delegate/shadow representative, really matters.

I just remember watching Pacific Rim, where the politicians gave up on building giant robots and decided to just build a gigantic wall around the ocean instead, and thinking, “That’s dumb, what sort of idiot would think that was a good idea? Even a politician...” Alas...

Or name them after climate-denying politicians. We’re gonna have a long list of hurricanes to name in the coming years, I fear...

Puerto Rico does have a representative to Congress - albeit a non-voting one (the same goes for Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, and Northern Marianas). So they can ask - but without voting power it’s easier to ignore them, sadly. On the bright side, there are a few members of Congress from mainland

Given the Slavic origins of Baba Yaga, I think the answer is clear. ;)

I think most of those actually look better without the fake grilles. On the Shelby I’d say it could use something else in the missing space. Oh, and the Chevy, that is, which looks like Car Hitler without its fake.

I can think of so, so many better ways to waste that kind of money.
