I actually like the look of the "retainer", and the chrome windscreen surround. I think a chrome accent out back wouldn't hurt either to balance it out. Of course, I also made a living producing chrome parts for quite a while, so my taste is a bit skewed.

I bet Dad's '74 Gran Torino Squire could've swallowed about ten of those. Flop the seat and it could hold 4x8 sheets of plywood flat.

I don't have any first hand experience with the issue, but all the noise associated with it was enough to scare me away from a TDI Sportwagen last year when I was in the new car market for a wagon. Regardless of where the fault lies, it is an issue and I wasn't willing to risk having to deal with it. I might be in

Love all the commentors looking to lynch the minivan driver without knowing the details of the incident. Obviously haven't considered the possibility that it was an avoidance manuever. Maybe she was swerving to avoid a child in the street... Don't get me wrong. If it was a bone head move, I'll supply the rope.

Nothing worse than an ugly paint job to destroy the appeal (and value) of an otherwise nicely modified vehicle. The boo'fing of this car was thorough, carrying the pepto paint into the engine bay. Six grand would have been just a bit of a stretch in more tasteful livery. Absolute CP with this paint.

I've been kicking the tires on some pre-owned ones with the 3.6. Considering the original sticker, the price on used ones is crazy low. Several 2011s out there with under 20K miles for about $27K.

Gateway Classic Cars has officially reached a new low.

Nice example of the species, but like pretty much any other example of american iron from the same era, not worth five grand. Ten grand makes it CP hit with meth chaser.

I can certainly appreciate the work that was involved to pull off the transplant, but it all comes off as an exercise in poor judgement/taste.

Hell yes I would! Upside down, backwards, on fire in the dark.
