Yes me too. I felt bad for Barry but I was so overwhelmingly relieved in that moment that it wasn't Joe dying that the emotional impact of that scene didn't hit me that hard. I'd give up Henry, Jesse, and Wally, for Joe.

When Barry went back to that night he made a choice between saving his mother and preserving the timeline as he knew it, which included preserving his origin story as the Flash. I think in that sense Barry is saying he made the call that his life, as the Flash in particular, was more important than his mother's life.…
Lol nice
Thank you, I noticed it too! That was just poor attention to details.
I also got the sense that the Speed Force was saying that Barry was so scared of another tragedy happening that he made bad decisions. Didn't it say something like Barry would have to be ready to accept other tragedies that the universe will throw at him?
Yes! That was my thought exactly. He has no stated goal other than to rule.
Random Musings: I love Jesse L. Martin as Joe West so much. His scene with Wally in the bedroom made me very choked up. I need Joe to survive this season.
After this episode Wally has to figure out Barry is the Flash, right? I mean what 6 foot something white man is close enough to Joe/Iris to make Wally's kidnapping a…
Lol I thought to myself, "Oh wow, he's protecting Barry's secret for him….but why?Because of some underlying respect for Barry? Or some secret identity code of honor?"
Don't know if anyone asked, but why does Barry make it a point to tell Cisco that Hartley knows where Ronnie is? Presumably Hartley would have used that info as leverage to escape as he did originally. I wonder what effect, if any, this insight from Barry had on the timeline. Maybe it plays into Hartley's redemption…
Who was Zoom holding over the edge of a building in Cisco's "daymare"? Was it Caitlin? Or Patty? I thought I saw blonde hair.
I thought it was just me! It took about half of season 1 for Cisco to grow on me and become one of my favorite characters. Now, everything he says or does is just perfect to me.
Yeah me too. Maybe it's hinted at in the next episode.
Yes! I was delighted to be scared again!
Barry's video for Iris? That's real love. In the middle of a time sensitive, life or death situation, he's thinking about how he can help Iris. I definitely felt my heart contract and I almost wept.
I really wanted Cisco to tap into his latent powers when Zoom showed up. I shouted, "Come on Ciscito! Do it!" I was really hoping the fear would be enough to bring it to the fore.
Random Observations:
E2-Barry: "I'm gonna have to find this guy and give him a piece of my mind!" Harry: "Don't give him too much."
All of Cisco's facial reactions to E2-Barry's whining/attempts to be brave, but especially Cisco's head shake at the lab when E2-Barry volunteered to go. It said, "Nah bruh, we‘re good."
Man…
So I was the only one who thought Reverb was sexy and would have loved more of him? That's fine. Apparently I love Francisco Ramon on every Earth, and I'm not ashamed.
Yes! Just as I was getting caught up in the feels of E2 Joe dying I thought, "It's okay because I still have E1 Joe. But if they ever kill him off I'm hunting down the writers one by one!" I can't lose Joe.
Yessssss! Cisco's best reaction line of the episode
Did anyone else laugh at Caitlin's decidedly non-supportive face when Barry said that he wanted to tell Patty that he's the Flash? I wonder what that was about.
I disliked Barry's reaction to Iris' conversation with Patty. It seemed like he was upset with Iris, though she handled the conversation perfectly, much better…
