This rendered is wrong. You can see from leaked photos and videos of plastic case that the lightning port is black, which means it's going to be black and white/color combination and not white and color combinatin.

I've worked with laser handheld 3D scanners and the biggest problem are transparent and glossy (porcelan, plastic...) objects. To scann such objects you have to put a special powder on it so it becomes "visible" to laser beam and does't just bounce off or go through the object.
