That’s, well, not true. Resisting is an action. This girl was non-compliant and not acting.
Which is not resisting. It is non-compliance.
Fair enough. I suppose I believe pointing it out and writing (I think, great) articles like this is an important part, an important step. I’ll be teaching it to high school kids in a few weeks, in fact.
But this is (one of the many) problem(s) with institutional racism: it’s foundational and makes the pipeline unnatural.
