We need a zero tolerance policy.

Finally, a reasonable take!

Lotta whataboutism in this reply.

What is this mythical “annual safety inspection”?
At least where I live (in California), there is no such requirement. Modern cars older than 5 years have to be smog-checked every two years, but this requirement you’re referring to is not a thing.

I’ve never had to report my mileage for a tag renewal here in California.
It is reported for the original registration and sales though. It’d be relatively easy to extend that I imagine, but not entirely sure I’d trust an honor system for something that directly results in fees being charged. And I doubt people would

I’m sure it’s not. They’ve pushed back because they’re in the pocket of big oil. But that doesn’t make the infrastructure costs issue less of a real one that does need to be discussed.

Gas taxes are (or, are at least supposed to be) used to directly support infrastructure maintenance costs. “Contributing to society in other ways”, and “reducing burden on public health infrastructure” don’t address this at all. Do you expect states to reallocate funds from an already woefully underfunded public

Way to completely miss my point, and manage to be an asshole at the same time.

It’s a difficult pill to swallow, but it is a fact that EV owners have been shirking their responsibility to help maintain the public infrastructure they also benefit from by avoiding their share of the maintenance taxes.
Gas taxes have the benefit of being relatively proportional to use of the system, this fee isn’t

I’m in San Diego and I can only rarely find the Original, and once in a blue moon, Jalapeno. Never Salt and Vinegar (my favorite), or anything else. Maybe I’m just looking in the wrong places

As someone who grew up in the PNW, I stand by Tim’s.

I also came here to say this!

Costco has gone to a lot of work to build the reputation and brand-recognition of their in-house “Kirkland” brand. I imagine that reputation is probably a factor. I couldn’t have told you off-hand what Sam’s Club’s in-house was.

He meant the political weather, clearly.

I think the sentence is poorly worded, they’re saying that the woody breast chicken is gross and weird, which is accurate.

No, “woody breast” is definitely a thing that has significantly infiltrated commercial chicken production. It is absolutely awful. https://www.today.com/food/woody-chicken-breast-t258881

At least for corporate run ones, I flag them as “does not exist” on Google Maps. I have enough status(? points?) there that I can generally get them taken down.

It’s basically a rebrand for marketing. It’s still pretty good pizza though!

I don’t think Little Ceasar’s gets enough credit, their crust actually tastes like fermented pizza dough unlike many of the other chains. It’s shockingly good. My one complaint is that at least at my local store, their custom pizzas always come out a little underdone, which admittedly isn’t a huge problem since I like

Agree 100%
