One of the UW IGEM teams a few years ago designed a system for creating bioluminescent beer, everything should’ve worked but for a few errors in the gene expression constructs that cost time and ultimately resulted in the project being shelved in favor of the other project which was something a little more medically

The trailer actually looked pretty fun. Makes me wonder if the distributor saw what happened with the Ghostbusters reboot but didn’t understand why, panicked, and pulled the plug.

Found a small mistake. Where you wrote “his children (namely Ivanka) will be, via a blind trust” what you meant to write was “will be, via what he calls, but is in fact completely opposite the definition of, a blind trust”.

In that first picture of Quayle at the lectern he looks like a cardboard cutout.

It looks like he’s afraid to touch it.

Dear Donald,
Donnie, the magic box isn’t going to bite you. Not like that eagle. Although you do run the risk of accidentally having a conversation with someone with different ideas online, so I can understand why you might not be able to handle that. Sorry it’s so scary.

How about you learn to not be a fucking asshole. Some of us tried to skip straight to the source - the paper rather than reading the bullshit press-release.

Sorry, I skipped straight to the abstract, I don’t usually waste my time with the over-hyped data-lite press release that gets pushed out to places like ScienceDaily. I guess in this case they included it there because they wanted to show off that they did something right. Also, checking dose is only the first thing

My mistake then, this study seems to actually have bothered to get the dosing right. I must have missed that in the ScienceDaily article. I skipped straight to the abstract which didn’t mention it.

It’s the first question I’ve asking anytime I see any animal study of any drug or chemical. Is the effective does biologically relevant for translating this research to a human-sized organism. Far, far, too often the answer is no.

Also, for some reason, the dose of the artificial sweetener in these studies is always absurdly massive. Because this paper was published in a Canadian journal for whatever reason, even with my institutional access I can’t get passed the paywall to check for this one, but there was another study recently (Published in

Yeah, holy shit.

“We’re going to arrest you [non-citizen] for [insert any reason here], congratulations, you’re automatically a “criminal alien”(TM) enjoy your deportation.”

(Seriously, it looks like it has TM next to the words “criminal alien”)

I firmly believe that Obama should not have told Trump that he’d need to replace the White House staff. What he should have done it convinced them all to stay and do 4 years of damage control.

Legally questionable orange?

What in the fuck? Is this a gift list for vampires?

We must make it a primary goal of Trump’s first 100 days to convince him that The US Solar Embassy is overdue for an official state visit. Then we can fire Rudy into the sun and make the government pay for it.

Can you wait a few months?

Yeah, the obvious response to this article is, “well, duh.”

Westworld was written as a screenplay allegedly because Michael Crichton couldn’t figure out how to make the concept work as a novel. Years later he wrote Jurassic Park. It’s not a coincidence they’re similar, they literally grew from the same idea. I wouldn’t

Except no, they did not. per serving:

Is it just me or is he about 1000% less orange? I’m also glad he’s sharing our misery, but I’m furious about how gleeful that hateful bigot Pence looks.

Looks like WoTC sent him a pretty nice care package to help ease the pain
