There was a nice article in our local paper about Lenny today. We could all learn a lot from his selfless and giving nature.

The easy access to whittling materials is 90% of the reason that I've stayed in Indiana.

Tire sound varies greatly across different brands and types of offroad tires. If you want to drive something that is as quiet as a luxury car, obviously a 4x4 is not for you...

Well, that's not what you said. You said that the wheels are too big for practical use (I think you really meant the tires). As far as bumper height, it does appear that it would have to have a dropped bumper for most states. As far as the headlights go, what about commercial vehicles that have headlights at that

My thoughts exactly! Someone needs to at least create the livery.

So based on your points, my old Chevy truck (1987 Custom Deluxe, 4" susp. lift, 35" tires) is not practical for on-road use... and yet I drove it to work and everywhere else for 3 years straight with no issues.

In most states, you're supposed to leave the cars exactly as they came to rest following the accident so that a police report and accident diagram can be generated. If you move it and you weren't at fault, good luck arguing your case.

Check out the Jeep FC article, it has much prettier pictures.

Given the alternatives at this price point, I have to vote CP.

From the auction listing:

iPhone photos are flattering. It looks rougher in the flesh... errr... metal. I bought it for under $1k and had it fairly safely on the road for $1,200.

The Scirocco I bought last summer approves of choice #7.

I really enjoy that truck. As someone that has an FC sitting in a barn waiting to be brought back to life, this gives me hope and motivation.

Beetles aren't fast, nor are they performance cars. They can be quick... depending on what's pulling the Beetle.

He has "$500" BMW's scattered across the country at this point. He has always been on a shoestring budget, but he somehow keeps cobbling together race cars that manage to pass tech inspection. Yes, he did stuff the BMW at PPIHC last year. I bet you can even find a story about that somewhere around here.

That's so 12 seconds ago...

Thanks - that was the idea

In a surprising twist, a reported head injury sustained from the accident has resulted in Cena's new ability to smell what the Rock is cooking - from over 2 miles away.

Caswell laughs in their general, over-funded direction.
