They are MUCH better with the 5spd. I worked as a bank courier when this thing was new - company had a fleet of them. Mostly 5spds, but a couple autotragics and eventually a few Ponys with the 4spd. That old CVH lump didn’t want to rev, but it had plenty of torque.
