You’re not wrong there.  The update was actually an improvement.

At least they used a photo of the Journey interior that the poster was actually talking about. Some of these make no sense, like the avocado Maverick interior that isn’t avocado in the slide show.

Ostensibly I’m 100% with California here. Someone needs to fucking lead the way because even though we’ve already passed *A* tipping point, there’s a clear and obvious benefit to making sure things don’t get WORSE at the current or previous rate.

Republican Senator Deb Fischer said “every American consumer will feel the effects of this rule and its price increases.”

The modern GOP loves to use the “this will raise costs for average Americans” talking point… while conveniently leaving out that all of their own policies raise long term costs for average Americans by shifting the burden from the rich donor class to the “average American”.

Agree on this.  Great value and I do not need a *&%$#$% SUV or crossover.

Yep. My hot take for the day: buyers who actually need a truck should be required to apply for a “work” designation for it. Otherwise, it’s classed as a “passenger truck” and regulated accordingly.

Honestly just making light trucks subject to the same standards as passenger cars would be a major win

I saw a new prius at my dealership recently ... It’s low ... very low. I’m 6 foot 3 and the roofline was much lower than my current ‘17 Prime advanced.

The Jones Act is terrible in so many ways. During the last(?) devastating hurricane in Puerto Rico (I’ve lost count, sadly) the US literally could not ship aid there because we did not have Jones Act compliant ships! Our own hostages people, and we could not even help them thanks to a terrible century old law that

ne of my former colleagues bought his 16 year old daughter a used 2000-ish Jeep Wrangler with a lift kit for her Christmas present.

One of many reasons I'm glad I moved from Missouri to Oregon. No sales tax and no property taxes on cars.

Being a big guy, if I don’t fit, it’s a hard “no”. In most cases, it’s usually the sunroof that kills the headroom.  And, no, I don’t want to recline the seat 45° just to fit.

Smokers cars. If you smoked in your car go ahead and cut the KBB value in half then subtract another $2k.
And yes, ever person who doesn’t smoke can tell your car still smells like cigarettes over the smell of 100x little trees black ice air fresheners.

Why recommend a Crosstrek when he’d be more comfortable in an Outback like in the lede photo? It can’t come in a hybrid, but it’s rated for better MPGs than his current Toyota, handle some rough stuff and be reliable for the future high miles.

No way, these are so damn small inside, especially the back seat.

This is not the greatest badge engineering in the world, no
