I think you’re missing the nuance where the BLM movement is sick of seeing black people murdered, treated as a lesser human, etc. just because of their skin color. Peaceful methods were attempted, only to have people like Mike Pence get all butthurt and leave when kneeling during the national anthem. 

Fighting for justice around who you were born as, for social and racial equality is in no way the same thing as a bunch of racists, homophobes, anti-semites, islamaphobes, facsists, xenophobes, anti-government types disrupting people. People using Children as human shields!!!!
