Definite improvement over the Clowny-McClownFace appearance of the old steering wheel and instrument cluster combination. It has always had a cartoonish grin.

And oddly enough the old Ranger and S-10 accommodated my tall frame better than the current Ranger and Colorado.

The Kizashi was supposed to be built on GM’s Epsilon platform, as the original concepts had the same wheelbase as a Malibu and had the same 3.6L V6. Then between 2006-08 GM sold off its 20-percent stake in Suzuki, leaving Suzuki to scramble to put together a new design from the ground up. Wasn’t long after that they

A couple jobs ago I used to be a health inspector, and I was blown away when I saw a Chrysler walk-in cooler during an inspection at a Plumbers’ & Pipefitters’ Union golf course snack bar. I knew GM had Frigidaire back in the day, but didn’t know Chrysler did refrigeration too.

In high school and college (1998-2002) I had a 1991 Ford Escort LX 5-door 5MT. While I owned it I think I replaced the brake pads and rotors, new clutch, and had to replace the transmission when it threw a gear pin through the transmission case while driving on the Interstate. Replaced with a unit sourced from a junk

The St. Louis, MO area has pretty confusing roads, as it is one of the oldest cities west of the Mississippi River. Residential and downtown streets within the city are a grid pattern, but the grid follows the contour of the river, so it is never perfectly N-S/E-W.

Reminds me of the time I ate a couple of beet “chorizo” tacos. The next morning I definitely freaked out for a few minutes thinking I needed to go to the doctor until I remembered what I ate.

I had to replace the ignition coil pack on a 2009 Subaru Outback. The connector from the engine wire harness to the coil was being really stubborn, and as I was removing it one of the wires snapped off the connector. There wasn’t enough wire available to splice it back together, so an entire new engine wire harness

Only going by what is available near me, I would say QuikTrip or Casey’s. Casey’s definitely has the best gas station pizza out there.

In college I had a 190k+ mile ‘91 Ford Escort. Sold it for $500 and new owner drove it for at least another 5 years.

Good call. I can’t believe I forgot about that one.

The Mystery Spot on US-2 west of St. Ignace, MI.

I see Fox body Ford LTD wagon in there too.

I understand where you’re coming from, but this particular dealership/service department is actually pretty well regarded amongst the local VW enthusiast community. They’ve serviced my last two VW’s under the VW Carefree Maintenance program and warranty work. Also, who else is going to do it?

For sure, I don’t doubt it was a supply issue that particular day and maybe they’d hope no one noticed. Hell, no one at the dealership even noticed until I pointed it out. It’s not much different, but I like that the R-Line grille has less chrome.

The VW Tiguan SE R-Line I bought back in February had the wrong grille installed at the factory. Had the standard grill instead of the R-Line one. New one came in a couple weeks later and VWOA gave me some free accessories to compensate for my time.

You should also consider how many other auto manufacturers were around back then.

Depending on pricing and if my tall ass can fit comfortably, this might be our eventual CX-5 replacement.

I have a ‘14 Ford Fusion Hybrid assigned to me at work. The windows on that can be opened with a long press of the unlock button on the key fob and closed with a long press of the lock button on the key fob.

The ability to open and close the windows (and sunroof where applicable) with the key remote. All VW’s have the capability, but you have to code it in yourself with an OBDII device.
