DD mine since 2004 (when I’m not taking the motorcycle). 212k miles and people remark on how great it still looks/rides. Even after 13 years I have no interest in replacing it.

Interesting fact: this car is front wheel drive. That’s something that should have been mentioned on the test drive.

I’m sure I’m not the first one to ask this, but is he doing a Jay Leno impression?

I remember thinking no one would blame him if he decided to never play again after that, and he was back in a month.

Good to see you two have a handle on the situation.

Thanks for confirming my decision to not re-enlist in 1994. If I had my only choice in next duty station was the JFK and I just knew it probably would’ve sucked. It was about to be designated a training carrier with the decommissioning of the Lexington and that had no appeal to me. (AT, AIMD 61D, 1991-1994)

Deep Purple’s ‘Made In Japan’. Why?

Deep Purple’s ‘Made In Japan’. Why?

Would DD.

I preferred my air conditioned AIMD avionics shop thankyouverymuch....specifically 61D; the cryptographic repair vault. Restricted access to nearly everyone regardless of rank, no duty section, and no working parties.

It is a calendar. My wife and I have 5 cats and two dogs; all are featured in it.

My cat would be a Jay Cutler fan if she actually cared about football.

Little known fact: automotive air conditioning was invented by three brothers from Long Island. In the 1930s they convinced Ford to offer it in their luxury cars but wanted one condition. In each car they wanted a small plaque on the dashboard that read “This car air conditioned courtesy of the Weinstein Brothers”

“No one can stop you now..tonight you’re ON THE LOOSE!”

If you’re referring to the Red Sox bullpen coach his immediate reaction wasn’t “to see if he’s all right”; he was checking to see if he still had the ball in his glove.

Salesman, noticing a stench: “Did you just shit your pants?”

That’s one of the best examples of corporate-speak bullshit that I’ve ever read. I don’t know whether to applaud the author for his impressive use of high level jargon or be nauseated by the complete obfuscation of what is a simple truth.

I wouldn’t call that swallowing. In fact I’d say it’s barely in.

I don’t need to go to London to realize that. I can do it just fine from my office window.

None of this will really matter soon because within the next 20 years strike missions will be exclusively made up of pilotless attack aircraft. They’ll be smaller, cheaper, and with far greater range/loitering time than anything we have now plus having the added benefit of being almost disposable: one-way missions

49 hear (...ok bad joke..) and I’ve been to hundreds of shows, mostly metal. Metallica on the ‘Justice’ tour was by far the loudest one I’ve seen, to the point where I was glad it ended. I still go to concerts and will never wear earplugs because wtf is the point..but I’m very careful with my hearing. I do wear
