@blyan is not on fire: Gosh, this "Retina Display" marketing has really gone into peoples heads hasn't it?

@blyan is not on fire: Having a huge/dual-core processor doesnt necessarily mean it will use much more battery.
@PhoenixDownSyndrome: I agree, I still like Gizmodo posts and stuff,(which is why I am still here) but it seems like their entire tech ecosystem is built around Apple.
@dtptampa: Exactly, parts, 3.0 is the first to indruce full 2D/3D Hard. Acc. to both the UI and existing apps.
@Y2KGTP: Move them down then? Tha isn't a fixed dock
@Nitesh!: 2.3 has garbage collector, not hardware acceleration (for the UI)
@NRSander: Wait, im confused, so the reason is flash (or the lack of) ?
Hardware Acceleration in 3.0 is the reason why the user interface is so smooth like iOS
@Giggity: Well there is no other reason why some people couldnt see it. I dont think it was the codecs or anything
The UI looks cool (like literally)
@Giggity: It was flash based, and we all know the story behind flash and Apple
@Panamera, the future Volcanologist: You dont download from the webstore and transfer it. The web market syncs with google accounts and pushes the app via cloud, so the market is still required.
@MayorBloomberg: 3.0 will now have hardware acceleration.
Releasing an Android tablet now without Honeycomb is just suicide.
@HawaiiR:No, just in the next month or two, a line-up of tablets are already confirmed to run Honeycomb
The DS one was soooooooooooo addictive!
@Gus Branchesi: "controls are clunky"
@TanyaRei: They have to make sacrifices, Flash carts are much more efficient for handhelds as they use less space, less battery, writeable and can be expanded in the future.
@Scott: GPU wise, yes, CPU, probably not yet
