That’s what I’m getting here. I don’t think Grindhouse failed because there was some conspiracy against it — it failed because it was 3 hours long, a hard R, aimed at a niche audience, and boring and self-indulgent even to fans of the directors involved.

Didn’t especially care for Scott Pilgrim when it came out — didn’t like the whole hipster context.

That’s the thing though. Has there been an accusation? From what I understand Gawker ran a blind item and implied it was about Louis — but even in that original post they didn’t actually know. The comedians who made the complaint specifically clarified it wasn’t about Louis....

It does break my heart going to old articles and seeing zero comments.... I had never realized it before, but one of the best parts of the site was scrolling through the hundreds of user-opinions, going back years, on every little TV review or feature. It feels a little like the site just dumped half their content.

I know exactly what the cop was thinking, and you would too if you’re at all familiar with the rhetoric around police shootings on right-wing news sites, popular among LEOs, etc.
