(1) don’t be obtuse. someone expressed shock she received such a light sentence in light of her confession, because her words indicated she intended to kill him. Your response that the sentence was based on the crime she was charged with and not “her words” was asinine - the difference between the charge prosecuted

It’s something of value you receive in exchange for your services. It definitely shouldn’t be taxable income, but it fits the definition of income.

Yes, exactly! Private property *and* private contract are supposed to be at the core of libertarian belief - goes to show that it isn’t really about idealized principles of government non-interference for most “libertarians,” but about wanting to get away with being assholes.

Yes, I read the article and understand what you are saying.

This ignores that her words are evidence of her culpable mental state, which is literally the only difference between the crime she was charged with and other crimes that carry more serious sentences.

Committing negligent acts that cause the death of another is the definition negligent homicide.

Is this like a regional thing? I’ve never heard of Papa Murphy’s as far as I can remember (I’ve lived in Chicago; Lawrence, Kansas; and Los Angeles).

I believe you when you say you don’t think you are as bad. But you are.

Huh - interesting. Thanks. Definitely not how I usually hear it used, which is more like this:

You’re overall point is not wrong, but I have to point out (on a thread about geography): literally none of the countries you identified are in the Middle East.

Wow - that’s profoundly fucked up. Congrats. You’re as bad as them

What does this even mean? Because this administration is strange, nothing else can be? And if you think anything else is strange, you live in a “bubble”?

What judge? You don’t have to seek leave of the court to stop representing someone outside the context of an actual court case where you’ve already entered an appearance as counsel. Who would even have jurisdiction to hear that request?

Yeah it’s Hebrew
